MANAGEMENT THOUGHT IN IBN KEMAL

Abstract

The aim of this study is to reveal the views of Ibn Kemal, one of the important scientists of the sixteenth century, about power, leadership, state and politics in the era of his life. In this study, descriptive analysis technique, one of the qualitative analysis techniques, was deduced according to the identified themes. In short, Ibn Kemal emphasized that the state should be strong and authoritarian, and that it is important for the country to have a solid economy, a strong army, consistent laws and virtuous institutions. He said that not everyone can do a good management and that some leadership features should be obtained. Ibn-Kemal said that the role of clergy in the administration is very important in states where religious rules are important in state administration and said that the clergy who act in the direction of their own interests in pursuit of financial interests go out of their aims.
